Kroub, Silbersher & Kolmykov PLLC (KSK IP Law) is a high-end intellectual property boutique focused on providing premier litigation services at flat, predictable rates. Formed in 2013 by three seasoned patent litigation attorneys, the firm’s singular mission is to provide premiere legal services. Having practiced in big law firms for several years, the members of KSK IP Law know what is required to attain results within a patent litigation, yet, they also learned that big-firm rates and big-firm teams did not appeal to every type of client.
Clients within the patent-space—including inventors, accused infringers, patent-assertion entities, investors, among others—each have different goals, but typically share similar hopes from their law firm. They want efficient results, lean, nimble teams where each member adds value, responsiveness from their attorneys, and advice that serves not only their immediate legal needs, but their larger business goals. They also want competitive fees that are predictable through the tenure of a case. KSK IP Law was founded with the purpose of being a law firm that does all that.
The mission behind KSK IP Law grew out of its members' experiences practicing high-end patent litigation at large law firms. Despite working on large teams, Messrs. Kroub, Silbersher and Kolmykov realized that cases were typically “run” by two or three key attorneys. Forming a law firm that isolates those key senior attorneys and cuts out the make work is one principal goal of KSK IP Law.
To meet that goal, KSK IP Law leverages its resources and contacts within the patent litigation community to scale up or down as the case requires. This can include junior work or grey-haired trial presence, as the demand may be. Either way, the team remains deft and responsive, cost-efficient and competitive.
KSK IP Law focuses on representing both patent-holders and accused infringers. On the plaintiff-side, the firm provides customized service to the growing chorus of inventors who do not view themselves as trolls, but rather as seeking retribution from larger companies that are unfairly making money off their ideas.
On the defense-side, the firm also provides customized services to middle-market technology companies accused of infringement by competitors or non-practicing entities. These companies typically lack in-house patent counsel, yet require high-level counseling and practical, results-driven advice at predictable costs. KSK IP Law’s business model is suited to meet these demands.
Like many of its clients, KSK IP Law is itself a start-up—unshackled by the constraints of a big law firm, the firm is light-footed and agile enough to meet to the existing demands of clients within today’s constantly evolving patent space: premier legal services, predictable costs, high-level responsiveness. Results.
